We are unaware of what exactly causes this condition but exposure to extremes in temperature, exercise, hot drinks, spicy food, alcohol and stress can sometimes trigger rosacea to develop.
- Topical creams or gels can be prescribed for 8 to 12 weeks
- Oral antibiotics for 3-6 months can treat rosacea-related spots.
- Laser treatment can be used to treat the vessels that cause the redness or reduce an enlarged nose. Multiple sessions may be required

Avoid sun exposure, tanning, alcohol, spicy food, and hot drinks for at least 24–48 hours before your appointment. Skip harsh exfoliants and strong skincare products for 3 days prior, and arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.
Your practitioner will cleanse your skin, assess your condition, and apply the agreed treatment—this may include laser, light therapy, or topical applications. Protective eyewear will be provided for certain procedures, and the session usually lasts 30–60 minutes.
